This started from a simple frustration that there is a general lack of digital communities for feminine manga that women feel safe in. We were looking for one, and thought why not just create one ourselves?
Also, so many thoughtful, beautifully written manga go unnoticed, especially stories centered on feminine perspectives.
I wanted to create a space that highlights these stories, supports emerging artists, and helps readers discover work that actually resonates. A cozy little corner of the internet where you can slow down, unwind, and just enjoy being here.
It’s also about building a feminine community where people can feel comfortable, seen, and connected through the stories they love.
At the end of the day, it’s about making manga feel more personal, more intentional, and a little more like home ✦ ݁˖

“Oopa” comes from the Japanese way of saying axolotl (ウーパールーパー / oopa roopa). I loved how whimsy and cute it sounds, and wanted this platform to feel the same way.
Oopa is a curious little axolotl who’s getting into shoujo manga and feeling everything along the way (but this is a safe place to be emotional ♡)
